Karayama has been around for a while now specializing in Japanese fried chicken.
As well as the first branch at Wong Tai Sin, they have a few other branches.
Tried the fried chicken a while ago which was not that memorable however the Sichuan style fried chicken at the Kwun Tong branch was amazing.
It is interesting how they now have Hainan style chicken as well as chicken ramen but I have a feeling it is for the more traditional bunch who just love Hainan Chicken because I don't see this offered at other international Karayama branches.
The hainan chicken was a bit tasteless but the ramen was fared better.
The ramen was in a nice chicken broth.
However it was an interesting experience though because of the Japanese rice used for the Hainan style rice.
As well as localizing the menu with Hainan chicken, you will also find chicken cartilage.
