A case of checking what's popular and looking at nearby tables to decided what to order. It was really nice to see a menu which was a little different from the usual Western choices.
We picked Shakshuka, Middle Eastern lamb and Pulled Pork Benedict. The first thing you notice is that all the dishes are so pretty and that just makes them more appealing. The taste does not disappoint.
Pulled pork was really tender, nicely seasoned and served with a lovely rich apple cider hollandaise.
For the lamb, liked the Middle Eastern flavours but the lamb was also shredded so lost a little of its meaty texture. Cauliflower was nicely roasted and the dried cranberries cut through the richness of the lamb.
Shakshuka, simple but really appetising as it had a little 'kick' of spiciness. Loved mopping it up with the sourdough.
Enjoyed the restaurant setting, clean and bright with a nice alfresco area, service was pretty good too, the only thing which could of been better is they squeezed us (3 persons) onto at a corner table which was probably for 2 persons.
