My understanding of Kitcho is that a few of the ex Sushi Kuu chef and manager went upstairs and opened this new Japanese restaurant. I think the whole taste and presentation of the food here is quite similar to those of Kuu, however, I think the ingredients used are not as good as Kuu (which becomes reasonable when the price is also lower than Kuu).

But I wouldn't really consider this to be a fine Japanese restaurant. I think it's fair to say that this is a little brother of Kuu, the casual and cooked dishes are very similar and priced a little cheaper than kuu, but forget about the sashimi it's not the top standard in Hong Kong and anyone who's serious about sashimi.

However I think I like the environment better than Kuu it's certainly less noisy and I like their little balcony! I do think this place will give you slightly better value than Kuu, paying $700 each will already give you a lot of food. I thought the portions were decent.
