So now that TST became the place to go to for Korean food, I’ve made it a personal goal to try a new restaurant every time I have dinner there. The location is a bit hard to find – near Jordan and hidden in a small building. Although we made a reservation we didn’t really need to as the restaurant didn’t seem too busy when we arrived.
After we placed our order we were served some banchan -

Nothing in particular stood out to me. In fact, we all thought they too salty.
We started with a galbijjim – Korean braised beef short ribs

My favourite thing about their version of it was the chestnuts
I love chestnuts! Otherwise, a decent dish although I did find it a bit too sweet. The meat could also be more tender
Next up was the Dak Galbi – Spicy Chicken (but no rice cake)

Again pretty decent. They used thigh meat so the meat was pretty tender & juicy. A bit on the sweeter side as well and I would have preferred the vegetables to be cooked longer.
We wanted to order something more unique so we also ordered a cheese ddeokbokki – spicy rice cake topped with cheese

Nothing with baked cheese on top can ever go wrong
It went well with the rice cakes. The sauce was also very spicy! I loved it although some of my friends couldn’t handle that much heat.
After we finished the food we were given a small glass of fruit vinegar to help with digestion. Pretty thoughtful of them!

Anyhow, food is not bad but I doubt that I’d come back. I haven’t tried many Korean restaurants in HK yet but I’m sure there are better ones out there.
