Rarely make a post but coming to Quiero Mas, I had a certain expectation for a Spanish cuisine.

The venue is well designed and plenty of natural light showing views of core central. Problem is, I came here for the food (lunch) not the view.

Drinks - had a red sangria... Let's just say I can understand why none of the other tables actually finished the glass. The wine was bitter.

Starters - cold cut meats + tuna and potato salad - nothing amazing and no comments worth making.

The mains were the problem - ordered the dry aged rib eye steak and pan seared sea bass - my wife and I have NEVER had such a flavourless and rubbery "dry aged steak" with no rich meat flavor at all. For +HK$58 on the menu, even the cow would have been disappointed.

The sea bass? Well salted but dried out and crispy. Overcooked.

The saving grace of the lunch was the cheesecake + berries compote ice cream. Lifted our spirits at least.

I know I shouldn't be complaining about a $198 lunch...but for Restaurant Week, was expecting better quality ingredients. Hope the team can improve on the food where they can... Even writing this, I can see other tables stare at the steak / sea bass in the same questionable way I did.

Meal came to HK$607. Wow.
