Bday dinner with February⭐️. Preordered the Fortune chicken and some bday buns.Finally arrived at our table after walking thro a series of loooooong corridors. Here’s what we had.Appetizer: truffle seafood salad Pork Knuckle with 25yrs Fruit Vinegar. Sweet and Sour Pork. Disappointing- pork wasn’t crunchy and meat didn’t taste fresh. Char siu. Stewed Turnip and Wagyu Cheek. Turnip was very yummy. Everybody loved the cheek, saying it was soft, tender and not fatty. Not really a difficult dish to make at home tho.

Manager came with very sincere apologies, bearing the sad news that our preordered Fortune Chicken was not available. Offered us as alternative: Crispy deboned Chicken and Iberico Ham served with Prawn Crackers, melon strips and a variety of condiments. Chicken was good; but overall the dish appeared quite dry with all the crispiness. Ham (too salty) didn’t really go with the chicken; that’s why we had to add the melon… altogether a bit redundant. We preferred the flour pancakes (the ones used for Peking duck); or actually just a straightforward 炸子雞.

In summary: a few hiccups re collection of plates; provision of serving spoons and chopsticks etc. Excellent service by senior members of the team despite the chicken muck-up. AE card doing promotion of 20% off.
