How wonderful that the third location of Maison Eric Kayser has opened up on Caine Road. Throughout the night, there was wine, and different finger foods of the actual sandwiches and desserts that can be bought at the cafe served by some friendly staff.

Also, the bread used were the ones that can be bought from the bakery, so that you can savour the wonderful bread at home!

Since I sampled so many things, it would be difficult for me to write about them all, so I'm gonna focus on some of my favourites of the night.

The top sandwich was "La Poulet" and was my favoruite. Although the bread was a little hard, I really liked the chicken in the pesto sauce! It was different and a lot more tastier than the usual chicken sandwiches you get. Another sandwich that I really liked was "La Caprese", which was tomato, buffalo mozzarella and pesto sauce on the very good ciabatta bread. As printed on their menu, "A good bread makes a good sandwich".

Some other things that I got to try were croque monsieur, the burger, french pizza ( smoked salmon and chicken) etc... and all were very good as well.

As the night was coming to an end, the desserts made its way out.
The eclair was probably the most popular as they came out first. We got to sample vanilla, choclate and pistachio. They all had plenty of filling inside and the chocolate one happened to be my favourite out of them 3. I wish I got to try the coffee one too. Ha!

Then, the tarts came out. There were lemon, brasillia, clafoutis and apricot & pistachio. Again, they were all fresh and great, but my favourite was hands down the brasillia tart, which was a chocolate and coffee cream tart. What can I say, coffee and chocolate are a match in heaven, so anything with the 2 things are great, especially made with such precision and care.

To end the night, every participant was given a gift bag filled with goodies to bring home. Thanks again to the organizers for this wonderful event.
