A sudden crave for Mexican food urged me to go all the way from where I work to Soho district. Located in the heart of Soho, this bright red-green eatery always attracts eyeballs on the escalator. I like the interior tho! The neat but colorful fixtures add credits to the exotic ambience. And I particularly like the floor patterns – which reminds me of the patterns in the Jewish Quarter in Prague! Love the cute round table and chairs as well – absolutely my thing!

Before the main, I got myself some appetizer. Taco Loco offers a cute little self-service salad corner over the bar, including spiced tomato, onions, olive and a green sauce (no clue what it is). Strange enough – no one ever went to that area while I was having my lunch. But this was definitely one of the best appetizers I’ve had for Mexican food.

Finally the main was served. I had no expectation to begin with, but didn't expect the presentation would be so unappealing. Exotic, casual and relaxed dining concept - I guess they succeeded.

It truly delighted me for the first few bites – the texture of the corn tortilla was fantastic. I never liked tortilla made crispy but even hated those too soft. This one was just right! And the plump filling of cheese and cooked pork floss blended so perfectly that they basically melted in my mouth right away. But not for the 4th bite, my taste buds got so bored with the same old cheesy taste.

And here comes the rescuer – their collection of Tabasco fascinates me! From the ordinary pepper, to green pepper, to garlic pepper, to even Habanero sauce. These made my lunch so much more adventurous!

To spice up my adventure, I decided to try their cocktail out. Blue Margarita sounded nice – so be it!

Love this blue elf! Very cooling and comforting, and the strong alcohol gave a nice energy boost for my afternoon work!
Other Info. : The food was just average, but their interior and cocktails did give a solid reason for a 2nd visit. Will definitely come back for a drink! Preferably with some Brazilian music to heat up the place!
