I'm usually not a big fan of traditional Chinese food. But I got to say, this dining experience of traditional Beijing food was satisfactory!For main courses, we ordered a stir-fried meat with onions. It was sauteed really nicely. We were very pleased with the food portion. And it tasted really interesting - it contained both sour and hot elements. I really enjoyed these dishes!
To my surprise, the dessert was the BEST of it all. We ended our dinner with an order of fried sweet potato balls. It looked super pretty with the touch of some sweet threading on top! It was really special as we've not had such a dessert before. The texture was chewy and it wasn't too sweet. Just the way I imagine Peking dessert would be. Bravo!
