Haven't visited since this place opened a few years ago. this is supposedly the high end di sum line of maxims line of restaurants. to my surprise, things have gone downhill since the initial visit. first the decor, first thing to notice is the tables have been placed closely to others, basically making me fully aware of the conversations of my fellow patrons in their entirety.next, the food. next, the food. I was lucky that I didn't suffer from any diarrhea, but the food has resorted to the quality of second class dim sum restaurants. the 蘿白酥 was reheated using microwave while the 煎釀三寶 were soggy and full of oil (instead of reducing oil on the food with a oil absorbing paper or just letting it sit for a few minutes before serving)
finally, the service. throughout the affair the waiters were yelling over each other.... the waitress seemed very disinterested at their job and won't be proactive in refilling the tea. when the check came, she lamented the fact that I paid with credit card instead of cash...
sure, if I going to a more economic place, that's fine, but I should at least be treated with respect at the minimum
