Ordered take out from the Discovery Bay location, a chicken steak bun. Brought it home and took a bite only to realise the noodle was not cooked through and was half raw. On the phone I told them my problem and it was agreed verbally that I can bring back my noodle for a refund and a new bowl.I leave my dinner with my kids and husband to make the trek back to the restaurant, only for the manager to argue with me that their noodle is fine, then she told me to try the new bowl of noodle. I leave my dinner with my kids and husband to make the trek back to the restaurant, only for the manager to argue with me that their noodle is fine, then she told me to try the new bowl of noodle. I tried the new bowl and the noodle was cooked normally this time and told her so. When I took the new bowl of noodle to head home and asked for the refund, the manager told me if I take the new bowl I won’t get a refund. I didn’t want to argue and waste and more time so I took the new bowl of noodle and left the restaurant.
I can’t believe this happened to be honest as I have ordered this item from their menu many times. However, the lack of customer service, with not even an apology, makes it hard for me to ever go back. They’ve lost me as a customer and I won’t be recommending their restaurant.
By the time I got home to eat, I lost my appetite and did not enjoy my meal…only able to stomach 1/3 of it. Very unhappy experience overall.
