To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. Since Chinese New Year is nearing, my group of University friends suggested to meet up for dinner to gather. After some research, we decided upon Hong Kong Old Restaurant. Smoked egg with walnut - This was an interesting dish as this was the first time I ate smoked egg with walnut. Walnut was crunchy and sweet and smoked egg was soft and smooth, egg York was lava as well.

Steamed supreme soup and pork dumplings - The skin was soft and smooth, not easy to break off too. Soup fillings was served warm and tasty and pork was flavourful and juicy too.

Smoked duck in Szechuan style - The skin was roasted till very crispy and juicy, but quite fatty though. Meat was chewy and smooth as well.

Dumpling in soup with sesame in sweet wine sauce - Sweet wine sauce was sweet and clear, and the dumplings was particularly soft and smooth, with the black sesame sweet as well.
