A good little chill restaurant serving a variety of western food. Not the highest quality of cuisine but one of the better western restaurants in Luen Wo Hui.

Environment

When you walk past this restaurant, you’ll be attracted to its standout design outside, a massive clock enclosed within a wall of colourful bricks. Clearly a lot of effort has been spent on its exterior and interior to create a western and classy feel to the restaurant. On the inside, it’s very cosy with tables packed tightly together right next to the bar and fireplace. Usually quite full but you won’t expect a lot of customers inside considering the small area space.

Service

You won’t expect 5 star customer service at this restaurant but the staff here are friendly enough and are very attentive to your needs. Despite the usual time limits in HK, we were not pushed to vacate our tables even though we were waiting for our friend for a fair bit of time. Orders were also taken when we were ready, food was quickly served, drinks were promptly refilled and plates were swiftly taken away.

Food

Menu contained a good range of food from pasta and pizza to various types of meats such as steaks, lamb and fish. We ordered the Carbonara, Roasted US Pork Rib Eye and Truffle Fries. This came with a soup and bread. Unfortunately, the food in general was quite disappointing.

Firstly, the soup was quite tasteless, seemed like it was watered down.

Next, the Carbonara was not authentic at all with a cream base being used. The sauce and meat was quite bland. However, presentation was okay and portion size was sufficient.

The Pork Chop was not tender and quite tough to eat. Seasoning was average. Massive callout had to be the tomato with cheese side, a combination that did not match at all. The remaining sides were normal, nothing spectacular or anything to shout out about.

Lastly, the truffle fries were just fries with a truffle dip. Again, nothing spectacular. A massive disappointment considering the price they charge for this.

Overall, a very average experience. Nice place to chill with friends at a price point slightly higher than other restaurants in this area  but don’t expect too much with the food.
