Fresh water grouper with few fish bones ($338) around 2 poundsThe fish was pre-fried and was served on a pan cooked with real charcoal blocks at the bottom. The fish was cut open face and was cooked on top of the ingredients from the soup. For every fish pot, you may choose your desire soup base and we have picked the Yunnan superior mushrooms soup base which comes with enoki mushrooms, oyster mushrooms, and wood ears. We have also added a few extra toppings for $15 each.

Bean curd puff - my friend's favourite when having any hot pot
Fresh bean curd skin - another soya based product which tasted quite plain and it absorbed all the mushroom soup
Black fungus - one of the healthiest thing we can pick from the menu

The staff were more than happy to refil the soup for you once it gets a bit dried up

Sichuan style chicken ($58)

Since we want to try something more than just a fish, we have ordered an extra snack to go with our hot pot. This signature sichuan dish was not as spicy as I expected but still had a strong numbing effect.

The chicken was soft and tender in texture although it didn't have a very strong taste of fresh chicken. The spiciness could consider as mild as my friend who couldn't handle spicy food ate a few pieces!

We liked the icy osmanthus fragrant tea a lot! It really reminded us of the old time in Shanghai! The drink was not too alcholic but still with a strong taste of rice, with a lot of osmanthus leaves at the bottom!

If you like to drink while having hot pot, there are a wide range of beer and apple cider for you to go with the steamboat. It is believed that beer is the western herbal tea which dilutes off the heat from the hotpot.
