Reservation got canceled automatically

Having made reservation successfully via the booking system with the reservation number, I suddenly received a call informing my reservation have already got canceled after a week. The staff said they have doubled up the bookings with the phone reservation. She offered a time slot two hours later or lunch session on the same day. I asked why not canceling the phone reservations. She didn't reply and just asked me to understand that. Fully understand, I just don't accept that. I thanked her and hung up. That's what I could do. That is really the unacceptable way to deal with this situation. I really can't go to dine there.
