To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. Made a booking via openrice for lunch at 11:30am. Since we were running late I tried to call the restaurant to tell them we would be late but no one picked up. When we got there, the restaurant said they gave our table away because we were late and we had cancelled? Then I checked my email and noticed the openrice had sent me an email at 11am saying that the restaurant cancelled my booking as per "diner's requests" but I never cancelled.

Anyway the staff was super rude and told me I have to return the table within 30 minutes which is impossible. He kept arguing and blaming us for being late when with hindsight they had already cancelled our booking on their own regardless of whether we were on time or not. The restaurant was also quite empty so not sure what he was arguing for. Left without eating, naturally.
