As someone who lived in Hong Kong, I never went to Cheung Chau. Since I wasn't free on the day of the Cheung Chau Bun Festival, I went there few days later. The buns were soft after reheating them at home and the sweet paste was just right without being too sweet. Overall, it was really cute and I would say definitely worth the trip.
