This is a very small café located in between First Street and Second Street. Conveniently located near the exit of Sai Ying Pun MTR station and next to the dental school of The University of Hong Kong, this shop has attracted a lot of diners on a weekday afternoon. As the location is near the staircase from Second Street to First Street, they have inserted a logo at the road corner so that diners could find their shop when they exit from Sai Ying Pun MTR station. After about 1 minute walk down the
After about 1 minute walk down the staircases, the panda logo (taller than me) is in front of the shop. The shop has a theme of panda and cats. Many cat related photographs and art works are presented on the wall of the café. The restaurant has an open coffee corner and kitchen. The seats are mostly facing the window and the natural lights could all come into the shop. The choice of coffee is very special, they offer Fresh Fruit Latte which you could not try in outstide coffee shops. Besides, the coffee beans used are organic from Guatemala and the milk is organic milk, there is no choice of skim milk. The choice of food is mostly all-day breakfast and the eggs cooked in this shop are Fresh Organic Eggs. The price of food is around HK$98 – HK$138 for all-day breakfast and a-la carte menu ranges up to HK$200. The menu is as follows:- There are more than 10 choices of Breakfast and Brunch for diners to choose.
Apart from all-day breakfast, there are main dishes and desserts which are all homemade. Desserts are available from the fridge, and they are all freshly made daily. For lunch, I have ordered an “All-day” breakfast (HK$138), the taste is very natural, without a lot of additives. However, the cooking speed is very slow (I waited for more than 20 Minutes). The eggs are very tasty but I think the bread is too small for an all-day breakfast.
Together with all-day breakfast, it is served with one drink, and I have chosen Latte:- Apart from the all-day breakfast, we have ordered a Smoked Norway Salmon White Spaghetti (HK$128). The spaghetti is housemade with white sauce. The other spaghetti dishes are Green spaghetti with pesto vegetables sauce. Again, we have waited for more than 30 minutes for this dish. It is really freshly made as we noticed from the open kitchen. It is a good place to chill if we have more time.
We noticed that most diners are the youngsters studying in The University of Hong Kong or residents at the mid-level buildings nearby. Recommended if diners wish to find a place for chilling and enjoy quality food.
