1. The Noodle Hive has a fantastic entrance to welcome you. This piece of street art paining recreates traditional local noodle kart that is quite prominent, and it matches with what The Noodle Hive sells - kart noodles.

2. Kart noodles is an affordable local delicacy which allows you to make your own bowl of noodles by selecting the noodles/ toppings/ sides/ soup base/ sauce you like. I often have difficulty in making a decision when presented with too many choices. I guess it is quite common among people and there is actually a psychological reason behind it (look up “Paradox of Choice” if you are interested). The Noodle Hive is smart in providing a list of pre-decided combinations to help you make a choice with their signatures. I ended up choosing the first one on the list.

3. This Sesame Power Noodles is like a small powerhouse that is full of vitamins and minerals. It contains signature home made sesame & peanut sauce, crunchy pork jowl meat, shredded chicken and tofu skin.

4. It is a very novel and enjoyable dining experience. The noodle was served with chicken, pork and tofu skin on top; sesame & peanut sauce on the side, together with a separate bowl miso soup. I was suggested to mix the sauce with the noodles and toppings, eat half of them, and the add in the miso soup, mix well and enjoy the rest. This 2-way eating allows me to have two different tastes of the same noodle. The sesame & peanut sauce alone makes the noodles very enjoyable with its rich flavour and thick texture. Adding miso soup makes everything much easier to mix and top up the noodles further.

5. The noodles is kinda sticky and very filling. The chicken is claimed to be of low fat (I came to know about this restaurant from a blog post of a dietitian), and indeed is very delicious. It’s more flavoured than ordinary chicken. Everything in the bowl is so good. I would definitely come back again for a healthy and cheap pre-workout meal!
