Prime Cheeseburger-- gruyere, tomato, sauteed onions, cocktail sauce. I told them to put the cocktail sauce on the side. As I suspected, it was not American cocktail sauce (ketchup + horseradish), but the European one (mayo + tomato sauce), and I can't stand mayonnaise on my burgers. Both the burger and the bun were a little crumbly, but the burger was good-- juicy and nicely cooked (I asked for medium and there was still some pink in the middle). But while it was good, it was not $100 better than a GBU burger. A-

Fries: Shoestring fries like McDonald's, but crisper and less greasy. Slightly undersalted. B-

Mojito: A little too much sugar, but they didn't skimp on the rum. Refreshing. B+

My wife got a Parisien sandwich, a baguette with ham and gruyere. Again, good, but not as good as, say, Chez Meli Melo. But well-priced at $60.

There were two particular negative issues I'd like to bring up. First, they were understaffed and only had one server (plus a bartender), even though the place was mostly full. There were some unnecessary waits.

Second, I like the Michael Jackson song "Billie Jean," I do. And while I don't particularly like whatever easy-listening cover of the song has been making the rounds here in HK (I heard it in Bombay Dreams two nights ago), I can live with it. But FAB literally played this easy-listening cover over and over the entire time we were there. Only one song, on endless repeat, from when we entered to when we left, and not a particularly good song. I have no idea who thought that was a good idea.

Final verdict: good but not amazing, with really really awful music choices. B+

Other Info. : The kid is not my son.
