Went to Gaylords because it shares the name of a famous London curry house with the same name. The two are unrelated.

I was with two friends, and we ordered 3 main dishes to share, 2 naan breads, and one rice. No drinks. Total came to 600 HKD.

The waitress was insistent that we had ordered enough food for three, sadly they had no vegetable side dishes. Sag paneer/aloo etc were around 100HKD and were meant to be main dishes.

The three main dishes we ordered were dry chicken tikka, mango chicken curry, and lamb Bhuna balti (ghosht).

The meal started with 4 small pieces of spicy pappadum (the ones with mustard seeds), a raitha and a lime pickle. Would have preferred more (and preferred the plain fake poppadums!) but they were complimentary (or included in the table cover).

The dry chicken tikka was brought out by itself 15 mins before the rest of the food. I think it was obvious we wanted it as a main. It wasn’t served with a salad or raitha as is common in the UK, and there wasn’t much there. 1.5 pieces each when split between the three of us. Tasted nice though, and served on a hot plate.

When they arrived, both curries tasted very good, but the servings were too small. When everything was served on our plates, it really didn’t look like a full meal, despite the waitress insisting that any more would be over ordering. The naan were nice, quite flat crispy ones, which is not my favourite style. Rice was good, enough for 2 in one serving.

In conclusion, everything tasted really good. Just I left really hungry....
