I have a friend who I always get sichuan food with. I was recommended to this place by a colleague, but it is a bit too far for for me to get for lunch. Therefore, I decided to come here after work with that default sichuan food friend. Just looking at the menu, there was soo much that we wanted to try! In the end, my friend and I decided on 5 dishes. While we were waiting for the food to arrive, we were served a small dish of preserved radishes. It was slightly spicy and sour and very refreshing

While we were waiting for the food to arrive, we were served a small dish of preserved radishes. It was slightly spicy and sour and very refreshing on the palate.

The first dish to arrive was the "saliva chicken". It was perfectly seasoned, not too spicy but with the right amount of chili oil. The quality of the meat was good as well.

Next came the clear noodles in chili sauce. While we thought it would be normal noodles, it actually had a jelly-like texture! It was very refreshing with the chili sauce.

Then came the "ants climbing a tree" which is basically spicy vermicelli stir-fry. The portion, as with the other dishes was quite big. This dish was well balanced and was not too oily as some of these stir-fries can sometimes be.

Finally came our most anticipated dish - the tomato soup fish pot. The price for this dish is different depending on what fish you order. We ordered one with less bones. The soup was simply delightful. It had a slight kick to it which made it ever so irresistible. We found ourselves drinking bowls and bowls of this stuff! It was also filled with ingredients, the pieces of fish in the pot seemed never ending. As you can see from my second picture below, there is also quite a lot of meat on each piece of fish!

We also ordered stir fried celtuse stem. It was the least spicy dish out of everything we ordered. You can’t really get this dish wrong, I love this vegetable!

Despite the food being in quite big portions, we (2 girls) were able to finish everything. Next time, we might get more different tasting things so not everything is ma la spicy (which is the type of spice sichuan people love). Nevertheless, we enjoyed the meal and it was very good value for its price!
