To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. Decided to have a simple breakfast near my hotel, so I visited the famous chain restaurant cafe de coral. The first impression was that everything felt fast-paced, kinda like Mcdonalds but the HK version. Ordered a simple breakfast with butter spread toast, with a honey-marinated chicken leg with ham and omelette, along with a HK style milk tea. The chicken leg was sweet and delicious, full of flavours. The meat was tender and perfectly cooked. The toast was crispy and warm, which I ate together

The chicken leg was sweet and delicious, full of flavours. The meat was tender and perfectly cooked. The toast was crispy and warm, which I ate together with the ham and the omelette in a HK fashion. It was a simple meal but a fulfilling one, exactly what I was looking for, given the price tag. Decent restaurant for a cheap and fast meal.
