One of my girlfriends recommended this restaurant because our group consisted of all “SPICY LOVERS”. One of my girlfriends recommended this restaurant because our group consisted of all “SPICY LOVERS”. I personally love SPICY food too--the spicier the better--and here, my friend told me this restaurant’s Sichuan fish in chili oil (水煮魚) is the best she’s ever had.

The restaurant has a small, homey atmosphere with minimal decorations, and the tables and seating are spacious. The first thing that caught my attention as I walked in was the fragrant aroma of chili and pepper—almost to a point where it's eye watering (in a nice way). My expectation immediately rose and I was immediately looking foward to tasting everything!

First off, I must praise the service and staff there because they were incredible! We sat down, ordered, and the food all came at once within 5-8 minutes. I was ecstatic with the speedy service and they catered too all our needs well.

Cold beef tripe dish is one of my all-time favorite dishes. This one in particular was very nice and it was SUPER spicy. The size was a bit small but everyone had their fair share.

My friend ordered the spicy noodles because she says it’s one of their specialties. I tasted it and loved it! I’m not a big fan of noodles but their sauce tasted out-of-this-world! NOTE, if you can’t handle your chili well, do not go for this one because it’s HOT!

This spicy pork slice was a bit too fatty for me, but again, the flavor was brilliant.

The beans were delicious. I’ve rarely eat chili stir fried beans because I think that veggies should be light and hearty, hence tasting this dish was an interesting experience—especially when there’s more chili than the beans and you’re popping the chili in your mouth with every bite

I love how fresh and light this dish was with a soft spicy vinaigrette mixture topped with cilantro. It’s a sweet appetizer.

This is duck with shirataki (蒟蒻) or maybe it was kelp—I wasn’t sure. It was chewy and jiggly like jelly but it absorbed all the flavors of the duck making it the best part of the dish.

This was definitely THE BEST DISH! I’m not a huge seafood fan but the fish was tender and OH-SO-SMOOTH! There were also glass noodles which paired perfectly with the fish. The temperature was hot enough and the spicy fragrant was addictive—we ate the whole thing!

Overall, the restaurant was fairly local and friendly, and I think it’s one of my best finds so far. I will definitely come back again and recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy spicy Sichuan cuisine (with ice cold beer
). It’s a perfect place to catch up with a group of friends or relatives.
