Slightly behind Langham Place, Happy Cake Shop is a very traditional local bakery in Mong Kok. The bakery items are all inexpensive and delicious looking. Yet, Happy Cake Shop is famous for their “modern” cream cake roll and cakes.Since a friend was having his birthday soon, I decided to take this chance and try the cake from Happy Cake Shop. Since a friend was having his birthday soon, I decided to take this chance and try the cake from Happy Cake Shop. And with a bit of luck, I got to order one via Instagram.
This 6-inch cake was absolutely gorgeous and delicious! The two of us finished it in one go! Other than the four huge strawberries on top of the cake, there were numerous strawberry chunks in between the cake layers. And the cream was so smooth yet not overly stuffing. The spongy cake layers were chiffon like, making them very enjoyable to eat. Best part is definitely the cheese cap milk top! Legit one like those you have for your bubble milk tea.
I would really love to try their super popular cream cake roll…
