Genki Sushi is a massive chain of conveyor belt sushi restaurants found throughout Hong Kong. Recently, they are offering a crossover event with Summiko Gurashi. They've done this event previously but it seems I always miss out and things sell out quickly. Even when I arrived when the event only started a few days ago, the items were also mostly sold out!There are several items on the menu. Menu is in English and Chinese. Of course, after eating a certain amount, you can add on money to purchase a souvenier item. But as I showed you previously, most of the items were sold out.
I decided to get all the items! Because why not? I'm here for this and that is what I get!The first item is the inari sushi ($13). It had a print of one of the characters on it. Stuffed with some rice and topped with flying fish roe and corn with mayo. It was ok. A bit sweet but pleasing for children.
Omelette with Rice ($12) was the other item. It had one of the characters on it as well. The egg was fluffy and the rice was mixed with imitation crab with mayo. It fell apart very easily.
Deep Fried Cheese Balls ($25) was only placed in a paper container with the characters on it. This was my favourite. No cheese flavour but sweet like mochi so I'm wondering if it was mochi or there was and English translational error? It came with condensed milk for dipping.
The Peach Jelly ($45) was what I came here for! There were two characters to choose from and I chose the Fried Shrimp because it's one of my favorite characters. It was bigger than I thought! The size of my hand! Pop out the bottom and the small cup of jelly comes out. The jelly was ok. Just sweet with not much peach flavour. But we all know we only come to this guy home.
The food was ok. Not great. Price was not expensive and the place is clean.
