We celebrated our October birthdays sky dining at The One’s top floor with Wooloomooloo Prime’s Cow and Crustacean Brunch. The view was magnificent overlooking Victoria Harbour and with light shining through all three sides of the restaurant; the scene was expansive and bright. For this Aussie four-course brunch ($398), each guest has two starters, soup, main course, dessert, and tea or coffee. For an additional $200, I had the free flow sparkling wine while sis had the free flow soft drink and juice for $100 more.

For us four, we shared and tried six of eight options. We had two servings of Bloody Mary Oysters ($38 supplement), two servings of Mini Wellington, Shiraz Meatballs, Mini Crab Cake, Lobster, Prawn, & Scampi Cocktail, and Chorizo Queen Scallops

For soup, we all chose Boston Lobster Bisque instead of Beef Consommé and the lobster meat was sweet and fresh and were served with a new bowl of the same bread and butter.

For mains, I chose Boston Lobster Omelette. I was disappointed because I had expected chunks of lobster meat with some bell peppers but the omelette was filled with carrot dices, peas, mushroom, and lobster tail. The taste was too mixed.

Sis and dad on the other hand had Grilled Australian Tenderloin ($38 supplement) which was grilled medium, tender, and juicy. It was served with mashed potato, bacon wrapped French beans, roasted cherry tomatoes & Bloody Mary butter. It was yummy.

Mom had Prime Fish Pie with prawns, scallops, salmon & smoked haddock in a creamy white wine sauce with a glazed mashed potato crust. It tasted buttery rich.

For dessert, I had Apple Crumble served with vanilla gelato & custard sauce. The gelato was good but the apple slice was rather dry even with the custard sauce.

We had also tried Seasonal Cheese Selection served with cherry jam, walnut bread & sliced apple as well as Wooloomooloo Hot Chocolate with a warm liquid centre & classic vanilla gelato.

Overall, food ingredients were fresh and good but we were more impressed with their steaks and oysters. The servers were all pleasant and polite. Our section seemed to lack AC but it was still a nice dining place with good view and service.
