This is my 3rd visit and I am still loving the food here. If you join their second seating, you will have a complimentary sparkling wine but with the resumption of dinner, this may not be available.I was so surprised that I got the table with the best view and my friend and I took many photos there.Back to the food, not only was the taste great, the price was very reasonable given the location and view.Their sourdough bread and their salt/pepper butter as great as last time. The first 2 starters
Back to the food, not only was the taste great, the price was very reasonable given the location and view.
Their sourdough bread and their salt/pepper butter as great as last time.
The first 2 starters came. They were both as beautiful as a summer garden. The veal tartar and tuna belly was really delightful and rich.
However, the Japanese madai definitely capture our heart. The madai was fresh and the passion fruit sauce gave it such a refreshing taste.
The second course came and was just as amazing in terms of aesthetics. We loved the snails a bit more. The sauce complemented the snails perfectly.
We liked the ravioli but it was just a tad too salty to make it perfect.
In view I tried the lamb and wagyu in the past, I ordered the toothfish. It was perfectly cooked and the sauce had just a hint of coriander that will even fit those that aren't a fan of this herb.
I always meant to try their souffle but last time their flavor was chocolate and banana and I tried the strawberry tart instead as I like more fruitier desserts.
Today the souffle was Yuzu and Honey which was definitely something I wanted.
The flavor of the yuzu was totally amazing and leaving you wanting more. You can make a small hole on top of the souffle and add in the honey sauce but even without it, the souffle alone was a total standout. The praline filling of the paris brest was rich without being too sweet. I suggest having the whole pastry in one mouthful to enjoy all the flavors and textures of this dessert.
The petit four and cappuccino was a wonderful ending to the late lunch. The cappuccino, instead of the usual chocolate powder, had cinnamon instead, which was a lovely touch.
