stewed oxtail with mushrooms:
The meat was fresh and it comes off the bones easily attached with delicious gelatinous cartilage.
Tofu puffs with walnut flower:I am not quite sure what walnut flower is so I googled it and it came up with flowers from wild walnuts in China.
The texture of the walnut flower was more like kelp. Although the whole dish doesn't look appetizing, it was sweet and delicious.
noodles with chicken:The chicken was also soft and came off the bone easily and the noodles beneath it were delicious in that rich strong sauce that was used to braise the chicken.
To finish, I had the soups last not first because they were too hot to drink at the beginning and it fills me up if I drink it first.I love the way, the soups are served in MUGS which give it a modern touch.
MACA:
Maca is a root and not a vegetable and this soup had a sweet taste.
cordecep flowers:The taste of this one was nicer because it had a strong unami taste but the cordecep flowers are camouflaged with the carrots, but you can tell because they are not translucent like the carrots.
I can't wait to come here again however getting here is easy but getting out of Taikoktsui is troublesome.
