I live nearby so notice this unassuming dessert shop. The alley where it is located is not wide but already accommodates a chatzanteng, Korean restaurant and another dessert shop. I was attracted by the pearl barley congee (麥米粥) they offer as not many dessert shops sell this item which takes a long time to cook but could not fetch a high price. It is well-cooked and tastes homey. Me and hubby also enjoy their assorted beans dessert (渣咋) that is also saturated with beans and good value for money.

Local favourite snacks such as curry fish ball and pig skin and spicy duck kidney are also available.

We buy takeaway as there is not much seating. The staff and owner are nice and humble that seem to enjoy their job. This place is slowly taking up a following. I hope such small eateries can find its way to sustain and prosper in the gentrifying neighbourhood.
