Despite of the tonkatsu displays in front of the shop, I didn't realize this restaurant specialized in tonkatsu so I ordered something else instead but I was still very impressed with the quality of the food. This is the smoked duck breast salad. Since it came in very small portions, it was finished in 3 or 4 bites. The salad was fresh and the duck breast wasn't too tough.
I asked for a medium rare steak and I got what I wanted and I was really impressed since this wasn't a steak house or anything. The steak was very tender and juicy. I noticed they used the same sauce for the steak as they did for the salad and I am guessing it is a red-wine based sauce. The steak came with half of a tomato, half of a potato and greenbeans. The potato and tomato had grill marks but for some reason, it seemed as if my greenbeans were just boiled then drenched in butter. Nonetheless, it still tasted good.
The cheesecake tasted nice but there is nothing special about it.
