In the relatively expensive district of Electric Road, this little ramen shop was an accidental but rewarding find. With its signature ramen going from 58 HKD to 78 HKD, it's definitely a steal. In our experience though, the side dish was the absolute standout. I tried the "fried pork chop" (tonkatsu), while my friend tried the tempura. Each was lightly battered (in its appropriate batter, which is unexpected in Hong Kong) and fried to a perfect crisp. I can say that the pork chop literally melted in my mouth. It was tender and exploding with flavour. The tempura comes with lemon, and the shrimp was decently large. Perfect as well. Neither was oily at all.
At such a bargain price, this place is a must try if you're in the area. Unpretentious amongst many of the cutesy cafes and over-designed, utterly predictable restaurants surrounding it, it really deserves more than the lacklustre reviews it's been getting on this site.
Love love love.
