Came afterwork with a co-worker. Around 6:30pm, so not many people. In the beginning was planning to just get a drink and dessert, however got tempted by the delish menu!Atmosphere's quite bistro-feel! Although the restaurant was empty when we got there, with its open kitchen concept, it still felt quite homey and warm! We ordered the Salt and Pepper Calamari ($45) and Smoked Salmon Asparagus Pizza ($108) to share, though the size of the Calamari was quite tiny and with pizza 8" crust which seems pre-made and not geniune home made crust was a little disappointing. However, the Appletini was umbelieveable! Sweet, and flavourful! Perfect drink for ladies! Best Appletini, I've ever had in Hong Kong! Finished with a Chocolate Brownie with Banana fudge gelato ($42). The brownie wasnt that great, however the Banana fudge gelato really shocked my taste buds, never tasted such flavour ice cream. Tasted like fresh bananas...
Regarding water service at 798, unlike what the other critics, they actually offered a choice of sparkling, mineral, or tap water. After verifying with the waitress, "tap" water wasnt actually just the regular water from the tap, but restaurants have a filtered tap water.
I was quite surprised at what a nice little bistro this is! I cant wait to come back and try their $128 half-brunch on Sat/Sun!
