I'm a frequent customer of Freyvourite and I always come for their pasta, especially when Deemsum requested to get takeaway from this place today.
Last time I had penne and I didn't like it very much, I blamed myself for not reading the menu carefully.
However...
I, in fact, blamed myself wrongly as there was actually no description as to what kind of pasta goes with which sauce at all - unacceptable.
Clearer signs should be present instead of making us ask them every time..
I mean pasta.. yes.. this is not incorrect but I don't think it is that hard to inform customers of what they are actually ordering?
This time I chose something white instead of red (just to avoid being given penne again) and I ordered a linguine with smoked salmon n spinach in mushroom cream sauce.
I also ordered the soup of the day, which is a pumpkin soup with ginger.
The linguine was cooked perfectly and the sauce was great, rich and creamy but not too thick at the same time.
The spinach tasted alright but it can just be a little bit softer, crunchy and slightly undercooked imo.
The soup was good, I liked the pumpkin and it was hot, very nice indeed. That little cup gives you a lot of energy and happiness!
The ginger brought out the flavour but not too much to get you annoyed - well balanced.
For takeaway lunch, this is one of my favourite and I will certainly come back for another try.
文ie for value: I'm willing to pay $65 for this meal
