We got here and the welcome was really friendly and the place was nice and relaxed After some friendly banter we sat down and I was happily greeted with the hot pot sauce tray, it's honestly my favorite thing about hot pot and was nice to see all fresh choices and a few new ones to choose from While going through the menu we were also told about all the seafood options where you could go and choose which all looked very appealing However as we had done a seafood barbecue the night before we hit the traditional favorites and started with a half chicken stock and half Sichuan spicy pot The aroma was instantaneous and delightful and we especially liked the idea of the big tea bag full of spices so the flavor mixed through but you weren't picking around a million chilis. First out was the crispy fish skin This is a hands down favourite for me and I think this is the best version I've had, it was fishy fried and was lightly flavored that just added to the mix of textures once dipped in the soup. Next it was the local cut beef that was oh so tender it just melted in your mouth and the flavours were amazing with the combination of the beef, soup and hot pot sauce The eel was nice and was so fresh and mixed with the spicy soup flavour had that nice chewy texture The first of the dumplings arrived and you could see they were freshly made and the leek and pork taste was divine Another one of my favs was the cheese balls always hits my list on hot pot and a good addition here Star of the show arrived which were the scallop, truffle and mushroom dumplings that again were freshly made and the taste buds were tearing to some fireworks as the fix of scallop, truffle and mushroom was just brilliant Last but not least was the Japanese pork that looked as good as it tasted!
This place is great, relaxed atmosphere, lots on the menu with English as well were all types of appetizers, sashimi and a very healthy drinks list. The staff were really helpful and attentive the whole evening and being told about the 40% off after 9:30pm this place will become a fav after a some after work drinks
