It was my first time dining at Budaoweng and to say that I had a bad experience is an understatement.  There were three of us and the place was half  empty upon arrival at 7pm.   We were sitting in a booth and had one menu to share which I found difficult to see sitting across from my friends so I requested for another 2 menus so we had one each.  The waitress said to me "You only have 3 people and you want 3 menus??"  I answered "Yes" - I didn't understand where the problem was but her attitude

It was my first time dining at Budaoweng and to say that I had a bad experience is an understatement.  There were three of us and the place was half  empty upon arrival at 7pm.   We were sitting in a booth and had one menu to share which I found difficult to see sitting across from my friends so I requested for another 2 menus so we had one each.  The waitress said to me "You only have 3 people and you want 3 menus??"  I answered "Yes" - I didn't understand where the problem was but her attitude towards a customer was appalling!  

Long and short of it, the food was not particularly great, very ordinary but the bill was extremely pricey for what we got.  We only ordered one dish of beef and small portion of fishballs, the rest was literally all veggie (turnip, mix veg, mushroom dumplings) and our bill came to HK$1300.  Being a girls catch up night, we were talking a lot but saw that the place was still half empty so no rush to leave.  By about 9.30pm, we noticed that a manager was standing literally by our table and constantly looking at his watch.  It was so obvious that he wanted us to leave!  I could not believe it - it was SO rude!  This is the first time ever in my life for someone to do that to me/us.  If they needed a table for another customer or there was a queue outside, of course we would leave as soon as we were done but half the restaurant was empty, I couldn't understand why.  10mins later, a waitress finally came up to us and said they needed our table for another customer waiting so we left, no doubt leaving ZERO tips. Walking out, not to my surprise, there was no-one waiting.  

This place is definitely NOT WORTH going to, in terms of food & service, they are the pits.
