Called ahead to book a table next to the door because we were bringing our dog along. The restaurant confirmed it was alright to bring the dog too. We got there 15 minutes late and while we acknowledged that that was our fault, we noticed that there were only three tables by the door (that allow dogs) - all three where about halfway through their meals. The waiter said we were late so he gave our table away even though it was very obvious all three tables did not just sit down within the past 15

Called ahead to book a table next to the door because we were bringing our dog along. The restaurant confirmed it was alright to bring the dog too. We got there 15 minutes late and while we acknowledged that that was our fault, we noticed that there were only three tables by the door (that allow dogs) - all three where about halfway through their meals. The waiter said we were late so he gave our table away even though it was very obvious all three tables did not just sit down within the past 15 minutes. He agreed that I was right (aka even if we were on time our table wouldn't be available anyway) but once again rudely dismissed me and told us to wait for 50 minutes. So did they even reserve the table in the first place? No idea. Very confused with his logic and obviously not impressed with his attitude. Plenty of options in the pulse and we went next door - somewhere that actually value service.
