Working in Wan Chai and Admiralty is always nice because there are nice restaurants all around. Even weekends would I come back for Grappa’s.Instead of the lunch sets, the a la carte offers much more flexible options and that’s what I always pick from! So here I am today again, ordered the smoked salmon capellini and cheese and truffle pizza.
The pasta was really nice! Loved the cream there that stick on the capellini! Not watery at all
The mushroom was just at the right texture! Soft while not crushed, bringing up the flavour of the cream while staying light.
The smoked salmon was a bit disappointing tho, it was too salty and lost the significant silky and chewy texture of which smoked salmon should be. Otherwise, it would be perfect!
Cheese pizza couldn’t be any better (maybe a bit biased because I love cheese too much and when it is on the pizza, it would make it invincible!)
Truffle were topped in two ways: slides pieces and grated in oil. It actually didn’t stand out but it gave the last touch to lighten up the pizza!
If there’s a thing I have to pick on, I would say it was a bit too oily, you could tell they added oil onto the pizza and the crust was kinda soaking up the excessive oil and therefore the base was not crispy enough (I don’t really want a crispy crust for cheese pizza).
Ending with tiramisu would be the way for you. Just note that everything (including desserts) comes in quite a big portion, a very legitimate reason to be generous by sharing with friends!
