So, enter into the arena Lamlamli Bakery. A play on the Cantonese slang to so good, you lick your lips. Started as an Instagram shop, the owner gained such popularity that she opened an actual shop in Prince Edward. If you go here during the weekends or near a holiday, there are long queues and cake sell out fast. A relative of mine pre-ordered and was told to come back three months later for pick up.  But I came on a weekday and there was only one other customer there.  Here was my chance to try it out!

They have a menu of the daily cake selection. It's in Chinese only. There is no 10% service charge. One slice costs $34 but fancier versions cost $37. Far cheaper than any other crepe cake in town.

Boyfriend and I chose two slices of cake. As there was no one there and they had a small bit of seating, we ate there. On the left is the matcha lava. The right is cookies and cream. Slicing into it with my fork, it didn't hold together well like Lady M or Shaz Confections. The cream all spilled out and the layers slid slightly apart. The taste was quite good though. The matcha was strong though I wasn't particularly fond of the part that lava out. It was a bit too powdery. The cookies and cream wasn't that good. It just didn't have enough cookie but a lot of cream. The crepe was good, not chewy at all.

For this price, it's ok. Not as good as Lady M (who is still far superior but so much more expensive). But at least better than Habitu (which has the worst crepe cake in Hong Kong). Only worth it if you don't have to wait in line or you can't afford Lady M on a daily basis.
