Boyfriend and I were in the Mong Kok area doing some last minute errands and decided to just have a quick dinner at the food court. Walking about, we came across MeokBang Korean BBQ and Bar. I do tend to like this place as it's decent food with a not an expensive price tag. This branch is located at the food court. You can dine in and have Korean BBQ or order something from their dinner set which includes a main, appetizer and add $10 for a drink. But heres' the thing. You can dine in and be ch
We sat at the food court. We're saving money! A lot of other people thought the same!
I ordered the grilled beef rice with soft boiled egg ($56). This was a lot of rice and I couldn't finish it. The beef was so tough. It was hard to chew. The sauce was good though. Very savory. The egg was overcooked so it was pointless to mix it into my rice.
Boyfriend ordered the rib spare stew with seaweed rice ($68). The ribs were tender and soft. But here's the strange thing. The delicious sauce didn't seem to have soaked into the carrots and daikon. They were bland. How is this possible when those vegetables are made for soaking up sauce?
When they say this place is express, I didn't think the quality would also decrease. There are a number of Korean food court places but none of them are that terrible. Definitely won't eat at this branch again.
