I was shopping in Causeway Bay last week and getting quite aggravated when I saw that the shop I wanted to go to in WTC More was gone.  I was messaging XO while shopping, and since he could sense that I was getting hangry, he decided to meet up with me when he got off work.  He let me choose what to eat, and I said let's have some raw fish since this summer is never ending, and it's still crazy hot in October!Yaki ANA is located in WTC More, and it was open when we were looking for Japanese food

I was shopping in Causeway Bay last week and getting quite aggravated when I saw that the shop I wanted to go to in WTC More was gone.  I was messaging XO while shopping, and since he could sense that I was getting hangry, he decided to meet up with me when he got off work.  He let me choose what to eat, and I said let's have some raw fish since this summer is never ending, and it's still crazy hot in October!
Yaki ANA is located in WTC More, and it was open when we were looking for Japanese food before 6 in the evening.  The other Japanese restaurants were closed except for a chain.

The seating in the restaurant didn't feel crammed, and since we sat close enough to the windows, we got a pretty nice view of the harbor!

As soon as we were seated, we decided to order some cold drinks first!

Lychee Iced Black Tea: This iced tea was an ideal cold beverage to cool down after my aggravating shopping experience!  Even better that it's my favorite lychee flavor!
As I wanted raw fish, I decided to order a salad with sashimi and a maki and followed those with a couple of skewers and some croquettes!

Assorted Sashimi Salad: My salad was filled with salmon, hamachi, and scallop sashimi pieces along with a big heap of crunchy fresh veggies!  The wasabi vinaigrette dressing was light and acidic and didn't burn my nostrils like other wasabi-flavored sauces!

Fatty Tuna (Toro) with Spring Onion Roll (6pcs): The toro filling was mushily tender with a silky fattiness, and the spring onion gave it a crisp crunch factor.  The rice to filling ratio was just right making the maki a tasty delight!

Chicken Wing Stuffed with Foie Gras: The chicken wing had the perfect crispy skin exterior!  The foie gras inside lacked caramelization in this preparation but also gone was the overwhelming heaviness that could come from seared foie gras.  I would have never thought of stuffing a chicken wing with foie gras, but the creamy, flavorful foie gras filling was absolutely delicious inside the tender chicken wing!

Deep Fried Crab & Milk Cake (2 pcs): The croquette is one of those food items that the Japanese have imported from other cultures and gave it a Japanese spin!  This croquette had a wonderfully crunchy shell, and the crab and milk filling was so so so creamy!  Each bite was an awesome contrast of crunchiness and creaminess!

Thank you Yaki ANA for staying open between lunch and dinner, so I had a satisfying afternoon tea to tame the hangry monster inside me!
