Mongkok Seafood Restaurant is one of the few restaurants that I revisit again and again because of the consistent food quality and they offer some of the best seafood deals in HK. Their signature appetizers matched well with the homemade XO sauce. Coming up next were two bowls of nourishing double-stewed soups.

The crab was gigantic, not to mention the extra large scallops. The vermicelli noodles in these dishes had completely absorbed the umami of the seafood and the sauce.

Steamed dishes were cooked on point. Fried dishes were full of wok hay. All savory and finely seasoned. Highlights included the perfectly fried crab with sweet and moist meat which wasn't overwhelmed by the strong-flavored sauce, and the crunchy huge shrimps coated in aromatic salted egg yolk.

The attentive staff also kept changing plates for us. Great service. Outstanding food. Highly recommending this restaurant if you're looking for some high-quality seafood dishes.
