Recently dined at Tempura Ippo in Soho and it was a delightful experience. The restaurant gives a traditional Japanese atmosphere that transports you straight to Japan. We opted for the Omakase menu and ordered sake and high all. We asked about the oil that they use as the dishes do not taste too oily and heavy (despite being tempura). While the presentation may not be overly flashy, it reflects a beautiful simplicity that is very much in line with authentic Japanese dining. The chef was incredibly friendly, taking the time to explain each dish in detail, making the meal even more enjoyable. The warm, inviting environment allowed for easy conversation, enhancing our overall experience. Love the white miso soup, the corn (!!!) and the mushroom course. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a luxurious yet homely dining experience!
