This quaint shop definitely brings back many memories when you travel to Japan and go their local cafes.I arrived around 1245 and the shop was quite empty but then it gradually got full. It was an open kitchen so you get to see them prepare the food every step of the way. Something I thought as simple as the choux actually took much longer to prepare. They had to heat up the pastry in a oven to give it a crispy exterior then put in the fridge to cool it down quickly to prepare it for the fillings.

The filling was just like black forest cake with chocolate and whipped cream with cherries. The lovely shape of the choux definitely made it even more appetizing.
The hotcake set was also a crowd pleaser. You can choose a $40 drink in this set and if you want to choose other more expensive drinks, just pay the extra price difference.

The hotcake was moist and it smelled heavenly. It was already moist on its own and since I didn't want it to be too sweet, I didn't even need the syrup.
