Being a big fan of cheeses, I decided to come here for Valentine's. Classified is more of a laid back restaurant that takes their cheese seriously. Its also known for their wine selection. To start, we had the baked Camembert:What the menu didn't mention was that it contained garlic and rosemary. I didn't mind the garlic but the rosemary was too overpowering, especially when the cheese itself wasn't as strong as I had liked. The toast was hot and crisp but a drizzle of honey or a handful of grape

What the menu didn't mention was that it contained garlic and rosemary. I didn't mind the garlic but the rosemary was too overpowering, especially when the cheese itself wasn't as strong as I had liked. The toast was hot and crisp but a drizzle of honey or a handful of grapes would have been even better

For mains we had:

* Half a roast piri piri chicken with a side of chilli fries and chorizo mayo - I don't know why Classified isn't famous for its roast chicken, it's just so good!
Juicy, succulent and well seasoned throughout. You could eat the whole thing on its own and not need any condiments but if I'm being really picky the breast was a little bit dry.

The fries went really well with the chicken. Piping hot, crispy but not dry. Nicely seasoned, mildly spiced, goes great with the chorizo mayo, absolutely no salt needed.

* Veal, mushrooms and bacon carbonara - not the authentic egg based carbonara but it wasn't bad. Rich and creamy, decent portion. However the main downside was that the veal wasn't really apparent and the spaghetti was overcooked.

There was no more room for dessert but the limited choice wasn't to my taste anyway.
To summarise, Classified serves quality food in comfortable settings, ideal for many occasions from after work socials to table for twos.

Apologies for the lack of photos, I wasn't expecting to write reviews (nor to enjoy it so much!
