Parents asked me to arrange Sunday dinner and my original choices Conrad Garden Cafe was fully booked and Bonheur in Bonham Street was not open on Sundays. I found this as an alternative through this site.I ordered the suckling pig in advance (thought my dad would like it - he liked things he can chew on). I was worried about tagging my parents along...they complain about half my food choices. But this time they're pleasantly surprised - they actually found the Seafood Minestrone to be *good*. M

I was worried about tagging my parents along...they complain about half my food choices. But this time they're pleasantly surprised - they actually found the Seafood Minestrone to be *good*. Mum complained about the steak as usual - that's cos normally she gets M grade beef that costs more from Citysuper than most restaurants - but this time she complained it was only the beef itself - it was satisfactorily cooked.
Dad and I thought the suckling pig was overhyped - maybe we just don't know how to enjoy it (the skin was awfully crispy).
But the dish that really blew us away was the veal - I normally order veal when it's available here cos I miss Norton Street in Sydney which had lots of it...this beats Sydney by miles.
Everyone shared it. I was a bit embarassed that the waitress actually arranged for us to share after reading this: http://daisy-lancashire.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html#316011135915573098. Next time I'll make sure everyone orders their own.
