To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

As a family, we used to eat at Genki sushi all the time. Then, about 3 years ago, we noticed the general standard and quality of food deteriorated. So we went less often. Today,we decided to give them another try.We ordered our favorites including the salmon sashimi, fried chicken wings and Japanese hot spring eggs.Sadly, we had to send the salmon sashimi back as the firmness of the fish was just squishy and mushy, although it did not have any smell. As a family, we used to eat at Genki sushi all the time. Then, about 3 years ago, we noticed the general standard and quality of food deteriorated. So we went less often. Today,we decided to give them another try.
We ordered our favorites including the salmon sashimi, fried chicken wings and Japanese hot spring eggs.
Sadly, we had to send the salmon sashimi back as the firmness of the fish was just squishy and mushy, although it did not have any smell. However the piece of fish was almost disintegrating when you bite into it, not fresh at all.
The fried chicken wings were ok. However, it did not have the nice fragrant taste it used to have.
As for the egg, it is served still in the shell. Although that is fine, as a result, there's no sauce at all as shown in the picture which is totally misleading.
The other food we ordered were non remarkable. The other comment we would add is that the mayonnaise used in the fried shrimp roll has changed- the quality is just not as good.
On top of that, the waiter who served us the food coughed over our food as he held the tray. He then went into the corner to cough. He was not wearing a mask. This whole situation made us very uncomfortable.
This is rather sad as i mentioned we used to go often and the food used to be good quality for good value. Now, quality is so bad regardless of the value.
