My fd and I bought a cake under the workshop (流浪甜點工作室) of this coffee shop for birthday celebration. You can try cakes produced in the workshop in this coffee shop or simply order cake of the workshop in advance and pick up here. Its lengthy name could tell how rich in flavour and texture the cake was. The chiffon cake was layered by mochi and granulated peanuts on top, molten tofu in the core and black sesame cream superficially.
Mochi layer was thin but still smooth and elastic😋 tgt with granulated peanut on top, it’s quite an illusion of glutinous rice cake🤤
Black sesame cream was soft and smooth🖤It struck a balance between the East and the West perceptions of sesame flavoured desserts. It’s not salty or nor too sweet.
When it comes to the core, it’s the irresistible tofu paste🤤🤍 It satisfied my eyeballs upon a slice🔪The cool yet volcanic tofu paste poured out 🌋🤍 It’s tofu taste was pure and light with no beany flavour; while it’s texture was dense but soft, matching well with other parts of the cake.
For the chiffon cake itself, it was flavoured with jujube and goji, which tastes were rather weak. To be honest, I didn’t really sense them🙈 Anyway, it also wont scare boys away coz of jujube🤪
