Passed this restaurant driving around the neighborhood some time ago. Noticed the Michelin sign and saw it was bustling, so flagged it to try. Server noted the only water available was to be purchased in bottles. Since we needed to pay anyway, decided to go for the fresh coconut and coconut smoothie instead. Coconut smoothie was anything but smooth, with bits of ice. Also, could be sweeter. Not a big menu, compactly fitting into one page. Here’s what we had. Thai style Mango Pomelo SaladSAYA Platt

Coconut smoothie was anything but smooth, with bits of ice. Also, could be sweeter.
Not a big menu, compactly fitting into one page.
Here’s what we had.
Thai style Mango Pomelo Salad
SAYA Platter, comprising:
-Satay Chicken,
-Pork Neck (very salty),
-Cuttlefish cake (best in the platter),
-prawn crackers and
-deep fried Chicken Balls- couldn’t taste chicken at all, thought it was assorted vegetables.
Massaman Curry with Beef Rib strips with toasted garlic bread in the side. They liked it, especially with the beans.
Charcoal grilled beef, Mint sauce on the side. Not bad, wished the portion was bigger.
Salted Crust Fish Stuffed with Lemongrass, Pandan & Lime Leaf. Served with sweet and sour sauce and peanut sauce. We were instructed to eat only the flesh and not the skin.
Fried Rice with Crab Meat
Roti
In summary: good enough meal but failed to see the distinguishing factors setting it apart from the other abundant authentic Thai restaurants in Kowloon and making it worthy of a Michelin mention.
