Found a nice omakase restaurant in Hung Hom.Appetizers included a decorated tin containing almost every luxurious ingredient you could find in the sea: botan shrimp, hairy crab and uni from Hokkaido, and French caviar. The ankimo was jaw-droppingly good. It melted in the mouth right away, the oil, the fragrance and the flavors spread all over the palate. It was a lot softer and smoother than most of the ankimos out there.
The sushi was masterfully done as well. The chef prepared two types of shari to match different types of fish. The toro and squid were exceptionally good. The chef seared the squid and it looked really lovely.
The place was chill, cozy and relaxing. The service was outstanding; the chefs were friendly and the manager explained a lot about the best season of different fish. Marvelous to be accompanied by their private label sake. A great night!
